Hi,
Currently, Clientexec allows hidden package groups that can be kept out of the signup form but are still publicly accessible via direct URL. While this feature is useful for offering unlisted or special packages, it doesn’t fully meet the need for exclusive, customer-only services.
Problem:
Some hosting companies (like us) want to provide exclusive addons or private products, available only to existing customers after they log in. However, since hidden package groups are still accessible via direct URL, anyone can technically order those packages if they find the link.

Problem:
Some hosting companies (like us) want to provide exclusive addons or private products, available only to existing customers after they log in. However, since hidden package groups are still accessible via direct URL, anyone can technically order those packages if they find the link.
This limits the ability to:
- Offer loyalty-based upgrades (e.g., bonus storage, internal tools, managed addons, software license keys)
- Provide partner-specific plans or VIP discounts
- Create private product bundles for clients with active services
Proposal:
- Introduce a new feature called “Private Package Groups.”
- These package groups would be visible only to logged-in users (or optionally to client groups, or those with active services). They will not appear on the public order form, nor will they be accessible through a direct URL unless the user has permission. Admin can toggle visibility modes:
- Public (visible to all)
- Hidden (not shown but accessible via URL)
- Private (visible only to signed-in users)
Benefits:
- Better customer segmentation: Offer add-ons or products only to verified customers or specific client tiers.
- Increased sales control: Prevent non-clients or competitors from accessing private offers.
- Improved client retention: Reward loyal clients with exclusive service bundles.
- Enhanced security & professionalism: Keeps internal or reseller-level pricing private.
- Smooth upgrade experience: Logged-in clients can see only relevant upgrade options without confusion.
Implementation Suggestion:
- Add a new “visibility” field in package group settings (public, hidden, private).
- When “private” is selected:
- Check if the session has an authenticated client.
- Allow access only if logged in.
- Otherwise, redirect to login or to a 404 page.
- Optionally integrate with client groups or active-service filters for more flexibility.
This feature would make Clientexec even more unique, empowering companies to deliver personalized service experiences, manage exclusive offers, and maintain control over who can access special packages.
