We setup accounts while talking to customers on the phone. For security purposes, I have found that me setting the password for the customer may be a potential security risk. I think it would be great to find a way to send the user a unique link to finish setting up their account similar to a wizard-style form. Setup their account, enter name, business details, contact details, etc. This way they can verify/edit the details I entered but also finish setting up their own account.
This would work good with public custom fields to help them enter their own data.
It would help introduce them to the system and show them they can manage their own information remotely.
