Email Delivery Issue

I have been facing an error about delivering an email to the client for a long time. When the clients place an order, the system doesn't send the order confirmation mail or invoice mail instantly. Even after waiting a long time, the system doesn't send it.

I find a solution that is not a solution, actually. The email has been sent when I email any client from the Admin panel using the "Email Customer" option from the client profile. Even the pending emails have been sent at that time, which was not sent while placing any order.
